Diaries: Nigerian air flights- The local experience.

Hey guys.... Been a bit! Thought I should share this....who knows?! Who's tired of the current flight issues in Nigeria like I am... Someone has to speak out right?! So I recently took a trip to Abuja from Enugu for some pressing issues. I wanted to go by bus- Siena rides, but changed my mind last minute and decided to take a flight. First issue I encountered was that the flight that was supposed to take us to Abuja, was delayed by more than an hour. I mean, c'mon after rushing out of my house early morning with no food and even water sef. Looking a bit crazy(lol) cos I'm trying not to beg anyone... Then you get to the airport, running in and then...Boom!..people are leisurely checking in, everyone seems relaxed, the airport staff smiling and beckoning at you to come calmly and present your ticket. You look at the time again and your wondering what's happening here...'Am I in the right airport?' Oh well!...shortly after, they announce that the fligh...

Diaries- Birthday bits 2018... ( how I spent my birthday)

Image
Hey guys! So this took a bit more time than expected. Sorry!!!😊 Ok! So my birthday was on the 13th of April. So that means I am Aries!....fill in the dots!😊 This year's birthday was different for me and better than the ones I have had in the past. Honestly I am not a birthday person...why? Cos on that day my emotions are heightened. You expect everything to work or play out perfectly. I( probably just me!) feel so vulnerable. Anyone that knows me, would know that's not a side of me I like to display....Oh well! It always happens to me each time( that is, I always feel vulnerable). I just prefer being busy the whole day, then maybe at night when the day is almost over...I would reach out to all the love, feel special and the day would end. Case closed! Lol!.... Well, this year's own didn't play out like that because I was free the whole day ( didn't go to work). So you can imagine the free time I had on my hands to smile at all the messages I recieved, ...

Hey guys! I'm back with that gist if you may. Sorry this took a while to complete, been under the weather. I'm back now!😊. Let's get right to it....shall we? The others places I visited/experiences i had during my vacation and absolutely loved. ( ps: it may not sound so exciting to you please forgive me! It was to me. We all have first experiences) The Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland: Wow! It was an awesome experience. At first I was like what am I doing here, I'm tired of walking around, but I got excited when they announced there was going to be a Panda drama or dance!. .  that was a really nice experience! There was also 'the Penguin dance' - a group of Penguins dancing together and doing some sort of parade...it was really beautiful and colourful. There were other animals that I didn't even know existed-  Koala, Nyala, white-haired wise monkeys....Zebra (this one I know of course) hippopotamus, all sorts of rabbits and squirrels, Bears and so ...

Diaries- 'Manly' chores and 'Girly' chores! Should there be a difference?

Hello, once again! So I was minding my business some day carrying my daily routine when I had a car malfunction on my way to work. It was really distressing, but luckily I was able to manage it to work with the thoughts to pass through my car mechanic on my way home... Luckily!I succeeded in managing the car like that till the end of the day, but on my way home I met a colleague who while we were discussing, I somehow mentioned that I had a little problem with my car and I intended to call my mechanic. This my wonderful colleague is a male. Important to note that!... My lovely friend said 'Chai!this is something your husband or boyfriend should be worrying about, a female has no business in a mechanic's workshop', I quote... Seeing I'm not yet married, I took this a bit personal. I got a little infuriated. I asked him how exactly is my faulty car my boyfriend's problem... and who distinguished these roles exactly... I said some other many things!lol!, defe...

How do you handle stress, when it comes?

Image
Hey guys!...I know I promised to finish up on the previous post, but mehn! I have been really busy and back, fully bustling and hustling...it's for the greater good though. So I would like to talk a little bit about something else today. STRESS! STRESS! STRESS!... How do u handle stress when it presents itself? What is the most appropriate and healthy way to tackle stress? Can one avoid stress? Does everyone experience stressful moments?... So many questions. The list goes on and on... Well, firstly I can assure you that everyone passes through stress. Everyone!. I'm sure you all know that.... Stress can present in different forms. It could be work( current situation for me!lol), family, kids, friends, even enemies😂. It could also be important decisions one has to make, uncertainties, disappointments etc. The list definitely goes on... It's important to note here that there is really no single way to handle stress. They come in different forms, so may hav...

10 places I visited during a vacation to the UK this year and absolutely loved...(Lifestyle, just a little deviation)

I stayed in Newcastle upon Tyne with my sister, a really beautiful town and serene too. Honestly, 'Oyibo' people are so freaking polite and nice (something we Nigerians  should emulate, shh!). I got to meet and interact with lovely neighbours. Someone would say who polite don epp?!...😂 Anyways, its a really beautiful city, houses like cute cottages😀, like you read in Hansel and Gretel. (hahaha!just kidding!) So, it has 2 big universities- Northumbria university, Newcastle university, so many big shopping malls of course (eg: Metro centre- the biggest shopping mall in England, as they say. The pride of the town!), hospitals (I just have to mention that right!😂 because its like a natural inclination). Well, I saw about 2 or so...really beautiful and so ORDERLY. When would our dear country be like this ehh?...we would get there. Amen!  Other things the town  is known for include: the Quayside, Newcastle Monument, Hadrian wall, Beamish Museum etc. Ps: would ...
